The Indian Journal of Neighbourhood Studies follows a structured editorial and peer review process to ensure scholarly quality, fairness, originality, and relevance. The journal is committed to maintaining a review system that is impartial, constructive, confidential, and consistent with accepted academic standards.
All submissions are first reviewed by the editorial team to determine whether they fall within the aims and scope of the journal, meet basic standards of scholarship and presentation, comply with submission requirements, and raise any immediate ethical or plagiarism-related concerns.
- Research Articles: Double-blind peer review, normally by two independent reviewers
- Other submissions: Editorial review with external expert consultation where appropriate.
- The Editors may waive the requirement of double-blind peer review for select invited contributions.
